evLite is a
maintenance and
diagnostic tool intended for use with the PSA group electric vehicles
fitted with SAFT® Nickel Cadmium batteries.
The
device is
compatible with:

Citroen Berlingo Electrique
·
Citroen Saxo Electrique
·
Peugeot Partner Electrique
·
Peugeot 106 Electrique (late model)
Compatibility
with Renault models may be available in future.
The
main
function of the device is to allow routine battery maintenance charging
and watering.
I
am
making available a "watering kit" which allows you to take care of the
batteries yourself, without needing to rely on a dealer.
In fact,
you are able to take much better care of them, by doing the watering
procedure more frequently than simply waiting for the "add water" light
to come on (we believe this is the main cause of early battery death).
The
kit contains:
- evlite
device
- watering
hose and adaptor to make a filling bottle using a recycled 5 litre
water container
- Full
instructions on assembling the kit and using the system
The
evlite device is the result of many hours of development
work.
The unit is hand-built in Scotland, using lead-free RoHS components and
is CE EMC compliant.

Brush set
(4 pieces) for Berlingo. These brushes are from Swiss
Company CASRAM.
They are a
slightly softer formulation than the original ones, so they may not
last as long. However, the commutator life is thought to
benefit.
Full
instructions for fitting are provided.
These brushes are in
service in several vehicles with no problems reported, but I don't
offer a guarantee - they are provided to use at your own risk.
Adaptor
for early Peugeot 106 / Saxo / AX electrique. This is a
socket which can either be connected temporarily or wired in, to allow
use of the evLite with standard 16 pin connector.
